With reference to my report of this morning I have to state for the information of His Excellency the Governor that at 9 o'clock this morning the prisoners work as usual fell in for their gangs. A gang of 121 Men was sent round the furthest point of the Island to load two Sampans. On the party reaching the ruins and while the Turnkey in charge was giving directions for the Prisoners to fall in a simultaneous attack was made
